If you see stupid, do you recognize it as stupid and call it such or do you just go on your way ranting to yourself? Yeah, me too.

  1. I think brain surgery is in order for them. Either that, or ask a local mechanic to step up to the plate and ride down that road and get the Red Cross to donate bulbs.

  2. Ah, this takes me back to my first trip to Venezuela. I was forced to spend the night at the Caracas Hilton Hotel (such sacrifices a missionary has to make!) because there was no connecting flight to Barquisimeto until the next day. As I rode in the taxi, at night, they had no headlights on. When I asked the driver about it, he replied (in Spanish), “There are streetlights everywhere. Why should I use up my battery?” DUH! Thanks for the memories–maybe.

  3. I would like to think that the person in the car figured out his trouble while on the road and was looking for an exit that had a good place to make quick repairs. The trailer….this guy just didn’t want to hook it up properly. Would have served him right if you had ridden in his boat to wherever he was headed!

  4. I think a very swift kick in the keister somewhat earlier in the day, was called for, and maybe more than one. However many it took to get them out and to the auto store before it closed. A bulb should only cost a buck or two and the only expertise to changing it is a screwdriver to remove the cover. Now the boat trailer might have been a bit more complicated, requiring some rewiring, but I do believe the driver could have done something to light up the situation. Heck, he could have hung Christmas lights all over the thing. At least it would be visible in the dark.

  5. Dawn@LightenUp!

I especially enjoy the drivers who forget to turn on their headlights, then get annoyed when you try to alert them that they are careening to their death.
Funny stuff, my friend. Couldn’t find this on your FB profile to “Like” it. But I “Love” it. 🙂

  6. Pretty funny but also scary! And so UNlightening!
