Spending the first half of my life in GB and the second half in SF, (btw, that’s not “Great Britain,” but rather Gulf Breeze, I’ll take good ol’ earthquakes over hurricanes any day! The stress and time preparing, anticipating the worst, praying the best, is not an issue when the earth begins to shake, rattle, and roll! Now I live in what’s known around ‘these parts’ as “Tornado Alley” and you’d think by the local ABC coverage, we were preparing for the sky to come crashing down or the world to come to an end! What is it about a little wind and rain that makes everyone go nuts? That’s not to say I’m not sensitive to those who have lost their homes because I am, it’s just so much time is wasted on worrying, anticipating, and preparing when, usually it’s nothing but a tropical storm! That’s my rant for the day! Great blog! Loved it cuz it’s so true!
